Born in Moncton, NB, she was the daughter of the late Thaddée and the late Élize Richard (nee Bastarche). Connie lost her husband fifty-two years ago as a result of a car accident and devoted her life providing the best she could for her sons and family. She worked for many years at Eaton’s Mail Order in Moncton.
Connie will be sadly missed by her sons, René Jr. of Montreal, QC and Jim (Diane) of Lower Coverdale; by her sisters, Diane McLaughlin (Ed "Tiny") of Dieppe, Marie Mazerolle (late Fred) of Moncton and Bertha Bourque (Francis) of Manchester, New-Hampshire, US; by her brothers, Bob (Louise) of Shediac Bridge and Raymond (Linda) of Moncton; by her four beloved grandchildren, Alex, Nico, Caro and Steph; also by several nieces and nephews.
Besides her parents, she was predeceased by her Husband René Sr.; by her sister, Jeanne McGrath; by hers brothers, Paul and Tony.
Visitation will be held at Passage Funeral Chapel, 625 Mountain Road (corner West Lane), Moncton, on Friday, March 17th, 2017 from 1:00pm till the time of service. Funeral service will be held at Passage Funeral Chapel on Friday, March 17th, 2017 at 2:00pm. Burial will take place at St. Joseph RC Cemetery, Shediac at a later date.
In lieu of flowers, donations to the Moncton Boys and Girls Club, Moncton Headstart Inc. and to Royal Canadian Legion Branch # 6 would be appreciated by the family.
