Daniel Dupuis, 51, of Moncton, passed away on Thursday, August 8, 2013, at the Moncton Hospital after a brief illness. He was the son of the late Edouard Dupuis and Thérèse (née LeBlanc) Lemieux. He is survived by his wife of 35 years, Lorise Simon; two sons, Evar Simon (Cathy) and Gabriel Simon both of Moncton; one granddaughter, Isabelle of Moncton; four sisters, Anne-Marie Dupuis (John MacDonald) of Moncton, Joceline Dupuis of Moncton, Fernande Dupuis (Normand Cormier) of Cap-Pelé and Lisette Berard of Ile Bizard QC and by several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by two brothers, Richard and Ronald Dupuis.

Danny devoted his life to his family, friends and work. Danny was an early computer enthusiast and went on to teach briefly at NBCC. He was instrumental in starting one of Moncton’s first computer clubs: “Community Bulletin Board” and to initiate the computer department at his workplace. He enjoyed reading about astronomy and physics, was an avid coin collector and loved popular culture, especially music. He was employed at the Parlour, Moncton.

The family wishes to thank Dr Winkler and staff of the Cardiac ICU and Palliative Care at the Moncton Hospital.

The family will receive relatives and friends for a celebration of life, sharing of memories and for refreshments at Danny and Lorise’s home, 9 Hilton Dr, Moncton on Tuesday, August 13, 2013 from 5:30 to 8:30 pm.
