Danilo Beniamino Precoma, 89, of Moncton, passed away on Wednesday, June 7th, 2017, at the Dr. Georges-L.-Dumont University Hospital Center, Moncton.
Born in Municipality of Riese Pio X, Province of Treviso in the region of Veneto, Italy, he was the son of the late Angelo Precoma and the late Amabile Basso.
Mr. Precoma spent most of his life employed as a tile layer and cement finisher, and took great pride in his contribution to construction projects, locally and troughout the maritimes. He loved to showcase the work he did. Once he retired, he took up flower and vegetable gardening. His tomatoes were legendary. Danilo also enjoyed listening to Italian folk music and singing on occasion, tending his grapevines, making wine and watching hockey in his spare time. He was a member of Notre-Dame de Grâce Parish (Parkton).
He is survived by two daughters: Debbie Precoma and Nenci (Eric) Gall; one son, Aldo Precoma; two granddaughters: Nina and Niki as well as many nieces and nephews residing in Italy and Thunder Bay, ON.
He was predeceased by his wife, Teresina in 2013; one sister, Imelda; two brothers: Alessandro and Giulio and also one grandson, Gino.
Visitation will be held from the Chartersville Funeral Home, 363 Amirault Street, Dieppe, (857-1901) on Sunday from 2 to 4 pm ONLY.
A Celebration of the Word will be held from the Chartersville Funeral Home Chapel on Monday, June 12th, 2017 at 10 am.
Interment in Chartersville Funeral Home Columbarium, Dieppe.
