Moncton, NB. ~ David “King” Richard, 59, passed away peacefully at his residence on Thursday, February 4th, 2021.
Born in Moncton, NB, he was the son of the late Raymond Richard and the late Geneva Richard born LeBlanc.
David worked in Jasper and Vancouver for over 35 years for Jasper Park Lodge and then VIA Rail (over 20 years) and moved back to Moncton in September 2018 after suffering a stroke. He left a family of very good friends behind.
David will be remembered for his contagious smile. He was a kind and good hearted person always ready to lend a hand. He was a hard worker and respected by his fellow workers.
David loved to socialize and loved to eat out. His weekends were always surrounded with friends, food and drinks. In the summer his passion was golf which he did every chance he got. He loved being outdoors and loved nature. He went everywhere on his bike thru the streets of Vancouver. Dave also loved to travel. His favorite being Mexico and Las Vegas. Dave lived life to the fullest and did it his way.
David is survived but also sadly missed by his three brothers, Normand Richard (Muriel), Bernard Richard (Shelley) and Daniel Richard (Jeanette) all three of Dieppe; two sisters, Suzanne Richard (Claude) of Cocagne and Patricia Surette (Bernard) of Dieppe; also by several aunts, cousins, nieces and nephews.
Besides his parents, David was predeceased by his sister, Annette Hébert (late Paul Hébert).
Honoring David’s request, there will be a Celebration of his life held at the cemetery the day of the burial service.
