Grande-Digue, NB – Diana Gallant, 94, passed away unexpectedly at the Dr. Georges-L.-Dumont University Hospital Centre in Moncton, on Thursday, August 3rd, 2017.
Born in Shemogue, NB, she was the daughter of the late Ferdinand and Délina (LeBlanc) Leger.
Our mother was always extremely caring and protective toward us. She was an avid gardener and seamstress, loved to play cards 200, especially Queen of spade, loved family gathering and to dance.
Diana will be sadly missed by her seven children, Florence Boucher (Léo-Paul) of Shediac Bridge, Roger (Joyce Kiley), Donald, Marguerite Hébert (Richard Therrien) all of Grande-Digue, Tony (Karen Lowe) of Ontario, Charles and Carmen both of Moncton; her two sisters-in-law, Blanche LeGresley of Dieppe and Louise Bourque (Léo-Paul) of Shediac-Bridge; her nine grandchildren; her fifteen great children; also by several nieces and nephews.
Diana was the last surviving member of her family of eleven. Besides her parents and siblings, she was predeceased by her husband, Amédée (2003); one son-in-law, Gérard Hébert (2010)
As per request, there will be no visitation. Funeral Mass will be at La Visitation RC Church in Grande-Digue on Tuesday, August 8th, 2017 at 11 am with burial to follow in the parish cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, donations to IWK Health Centre in Halifax would be appreciated by the family.
The family would like to thank the staff of “Résidence Oasis” in Dieppe for their loving care and affection given to our mother.
