Born in Moncton, NB, she was the daughter of the late Eldred and the late Ruth Smith (nee Furlotte).

Diane is survived by her husband, Maurice Léger of Grande-Digue, by her only daughter, Amber Léger of Grande-Digue, by her two sister, Tammy Melanson (Mike) of Greenwood, NS and Kathy Melanson (Ed) of Riverview; by her four brothers, Bruce (Scott) of Vancouver, BC, Peter (Nancy) of Moncton, Paul (Colleen) of Oromocto, NB and Reid (Ivy) of Moncton; by her four grandchildren, Chandler, Dana, Claire and Dean; she is also survived by several nieces and nephews.

Besides her parents, she was predeceased by her three brothers, Allan, Terry and Glenn.

Visitation will be held at Passage Funeral Co-operative, Shediac Bridge, on Monday, July 31st, 2017 from 7:00pm – 9:00pm. There will be no visitation at the funeral home on Tuesday morning. Funeral Mass will be at La Visitation RC Church, 416, Route 530, Grande-Digue on Tuesday, August 1st, 2017 at 11h00 with burial to follow in the parish cemetery.

Donations to CHU Dumont (Oncology Department) would be appreciated by the family.
