1933 – 2019
Born in Cocagne, NB, he was the son of the late Georges and the late Alice Caissie (born Després).
Donald worked at NB Power for 29 years and the Cocagne Bowling Centre for more than 40 years. His hobbies were fishing, gardening and was an avid Toronto Maple Leafs fan.
Donald will be sadly missed by his wife of 60 years, Alma Caissie (born Babineau); his children, Bernice Gallant (Paul) of Cocagne, Francine McLaughlin (Gilbert) of Geary, Daniel Caissie (Denise) of Cocagne, Gisèle Caissie (Stephen) of Moncton and Monique Levert (François) of Shediac; his grandchildren, Kristelle (Marc), Mireille (Stéphane), Michelle (Matt), Monica, Luc (Erika), Mathieu (Juanita), Mario, Julie (Ryan) and Simon; his great grandchildren, Luca, Samuel and Malik; his siblings, Roger (Carmella), Georgeline (late Yvon), Gloria (late Emery), Normand (Thérèse), Norma (Alain); his sisters-in-law, Elva et Florence; his daughter-in-law, Francine; also by several nieces and nephews.
Besides his parents, he was predeceased by his sons, Yvon et baby Daniel; his siblings, David, Irma (Willie), Omer (Géralda) and Ulysse; his special nephew, Charles.
Visitation will be held at Passage in Shediac Bridge, on Tuesday, June 11, 2019 from 2 pm to 4 pm and 7 pm to 9 pm and on Wednesday, June 12, 2019 from 2 pm to 3 pm. Funeral Service will be held at St-Pierre-de-Cocagne RC Church in Cocagne at 4 pm.
