Cocagne, NB – Donald Cormier, 61, passed away peacefully at the Dr. Georges-L.-Dumont University Hospital Centre in Moncton, on Sunday, May 11, 2014, after a brief illness.
Born in Moncton, NB on August 4, 1952, he was the son of Ulric and Alida Cormier.
Donald will be sadly missed by his common-law spouse, Dorothy Laybolt; his two sons, Terry (Nancy) and Ricky (Nathalie) both of Shediac; his two brothers, Roger (Rose) of Bouctouche and Maurice of Cocagne; his three sisters, Diane Cormier (Terry Gauvin) of Moncton, Janice Bastarache (Lionide) of Ste-Marie-de-Kent and Murielle O’Brien of Dieppe; his three grandchildren, Cohen, Noah and Aliyah; also by several nieces and nephews.
He was predeceased by one brother, Normand.
Visitations will be at the St-Pierre-de-Cocagne RC Church slumber room in Cocagne on Friday, May 16, 2014 from 7:00 to 9:00 pm and on Saturday, May 17, 2014 from 10:00 am until time of funeral at 11 am.
Donations to the Heart and Stroke Foundation, the Canadian Diabetes Association or to the donor’s choice would be appreciated by the family.
