1949 – 2010
Grande-Digue – Donald LeBlanc, 61, passed away peacefully at the Moncton City Hospital surrounded by his loving family on Friday, December 10, 2010 after a brief battle with cancer.
Born in Ste-Marie-de-Kent on January 7, 1949, he was the son of the late Alyre LeBlanc and Dorilla (Léger) LeBlanc.
Donald will sadly be missed by his loving wife of 37 years, Roberta (Gauvin); his two sons, Serge of Toronto, Stéphane (Joelle) of Ottawa; his mother, Dorilla of Bouctouche; his four brothers, Yvon (Debbie) of Moncton, Louis (Rosalice), Michel (Monique), both of Ste-Marie-de-Kent, Paul (Andrée) of Drummondville, QC; two sisters, Lise of Ste-Marie-de-Kent and Bernice (Larry) of Medicine Hat, AB; also several cousins, nieces and nephews.
He was predeceased by his father in 2005; his sister, Annette (1961); and by his maternal and paternal grandparents.
Donald was a kind, simple and patient man. After he retired from Unemployment Insurance Commission with 35 years’ service in 2005, he enjoyed travelling and working with his kubota tractor.
Visitations will be held at Passage in Shediac Bridge on Sunday, December 12th from 2 to 4 pm and 7 to 9 pm. Funeral mass will be celebrated on Monday, December, 13th at the La Visitation RC Church in Grande-Digue at 11 am. No visitations on Monday morning.
Donations to the Canadian Cancer Society or donor’s choice would be appreciated by the family.
