Cocagne, NB – Donald Collette, 69, passed away peacefully at the Dr. Georges-L.-Dumont University Hospital Centre on Tuesday, May 14, 2019.
Born in Sainte-Marie-de-Kent, he was the son of the late Napoléon and the late Thérèse Collette (nee LeBlanc).
Donald was a retired autobody repair technician. He loved working on his truck, hunting, gardening and spending time with his grandchildren.
He will be sadly missed by his two sons, Charles (Natalie) of Notre-Dame and Marc of Cocagne and the mother of his children, Rita Cormier of Bouctouche. He also leaves to mourn his six sisters, Huberte Rossignol of Moncton, Angela Collette (Anise Maki) of California,USA, Aurainna Léger (Delphis Cormier) of Sainte-Marie-de-Kent, Anne-Marie Desharnais (Roger) of Saint-Rosaire, QC, Eva Leblanc (Eugene) of Renaud Mills and Annette Collette (Marcel Cormier) of Saint-Grégoire; his seven brothers, Aldéric (Pierrette) of Cocagne, Fernand (Joanne), Paul-Emile, Noël (Denise), Léonard (Rachelle), Maurice (Jocelyne), all of Sainte-Marie-de-Kent, and Delphis (Marthe) of Renauds Mill; as well as several nieces and nephews. Besides his parents, he was predeceased by brothers, Omer and Ola.
Visitation will be held at the Saint-Pierre-de-Cocagne RC Church slumber room in Cocagne on Friday, May 17, 2019 from 1:00pm to 3:45pm. Funeral service will be held at the Saint-Pierre-de-Cocagne RC Church at 4:00pm.
