Born in Notre-Dame-de-Kent, she was the daughter of the late Albert and the late Alice (Cormier) Caissie.

Edna graduated from “École Normale” in Fredericton and the University of Moncton. She was a teacher for 35 years. She spent the last years of her career teaching in primary schools in Cocagne.

She will be sadly missed by her two sons, Rhéal (Denise) of Cocagne and Maurice (Linda) of Shediac; two sisters, Doris Constantine (Paul) of Salisbury and Evéline Jaillet (Norman) of Grande-Digue; two grandchildren, Mario and Luc; and four great grandchildren; also by several nieces and nephews.

Besides her parents, she was predeceased by her husband, Eloi Goguen (1992), a daughter at birth, Marie, and three sisters, Yvonne, Floria and Aline.

Visitations will be held at Passage in Shediac Bridge, on Sunday, January 13, 2019 from 2 to 4 pm and 7 to 9 pm and on Monday, January 14, 2019 from 10 am until time of funeral service at Passage Funeral Chapel at 11 am.

Donations to the Heart and Stroke Foundation or to “Fonds de secours Au Seuil de l’Espoir” would be appreciated by the family.
