Emery Gauvin, 85, of Dieppe, passed away on Tuesday, October 4th, 2005 at the Dr. Georges- L. Dumont Hospital. Born in Fox Creek, NB, he was the son of the late Zacharie and the late Celestina (née: LeBlanc) Gauvin.

Mr. Gauvin had retired as a mailman after 25 yrs with Canada Post, he was a veteran of WWII, having served with army “Carleton & York Regiment”, he enjoyed playing cards, was a member of the Club d’Age d’Or de St Anselme and was a parishioner of St. Anselme R.C.C.

Mr. Gauvin is survived by two sisters: Lorraine Gauvin of Dieppe and Elmini Gauvin of Villa du Repos, formerly Dieppe; two brothers: Edgar (late Eva) of Moncton and Normand (Leoline) of Dieppe as well as several nieces and nephews in which he took great pride.

Beside his parents, he was predeceased by one brother Eddy and also by one half- sister Bella.

Visitation will be held from the Chartersville Funeral Home, 363 Amirault Street, Dieppe, 857-1901, on Wednesday, October 5th, 2005 from 2 to 4 pm and from 7 to 9 pm and also on Thursday from 10 am until time of departure. The Legion will hold a prayer service on Wednesday at 7 pm. Funeral mass will be celebrated from St. Anselme Roman Catholic Church, on Thursday, October 6th, 2005 at 11 am.

Interment in St.- Anselme Parish Cemetery, Dieppe, NB

Donations to the Dr. Georges-L. Dumont Hospital Foundation-Cardiac Unit would be appreciated by the family.
