Born in Rogersville, NB, he was the son of the late Auguste Hachey and the late Flavie Cormier. He worked at Chippins Brothers for over 40 years.

Eric will sadly be missed by his wife Doris Marie Hachey (nee Bastarache) of Shediac Bridge; by his daughter, Joyce Wilson (Timmy) of Fredericton; by his two sons, Gerald (Wanda) and Elie (Cherri-Lee) both of Fredericton; by his sister, Adèle Bourque (late Napoleon) of Fredericton; by his four brothers, Gerard (Laurina) of Gardner, Mass, Alderic (late Dorine) of Fredericton, Fred (Regina) of Moncton and Joseph (late Valerie) of Rogersville; by his six grandchildren, Trevor, Todd, Sabrina, Brandon, Melissa and Amanda; by his four step-grandchildren, Michelle, Jason, Christine and Jamal; by several great grandchildren, nephews, nieces and cousins.

Beside his parents, he was predeceased by three brothers, Edgar, Albert and Frank; one infant sister, one infant brother and two sister-in-law, Regina and Meta.

Visitation will be held at Bishop’s Funeral Home, 540 Woodstock Road in Fredericton (506) 458-1885 on Tuesday, November 22, 2016 from 2:00 pm to 4:00 pm and from 7:00 pm to 9:00 pm. Funeral mass will be celebrated at St. Francis of Assisi Church, 2130 Route 102, Lincoln, NB on Wednesday, November 23, 2016 at 11:00 am.

Donations to the Heart and Stroke Foundation or to the donor’s choice would be appreciated by the family.
