Grande-Digue – Ernestine Allain, 72, passed away peacefully at the Dr. Georges-L.-Dumont University Hospital Centre, surrounded by her loving family, on Monday, August 22, 2011, after a brief illness.
Born in Saint-Damien, NB on March 17, 1939, she was the daughter of the late Adélard and Diana (Poirier) LeBlanc.
Ernestine led a long productive life as a teacher, administrative assistant for Atlantic Roofers and volunteer at Passage. She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, sister and friend.
Ernestine will be sadly missed by her husband of 52 years, Henry; her two daughters, Maria DesRoches (Jimmy) of Grande-Digue, Gloria Allain (Jean Fortin) of Sherbrooke, QC; her three sons, Roger (Cécile), Gilles (Marcia) , both of Grande-Digue, Jean (Linda) of Winsloe, PEI; her sister, Patsy Ouellette (Rhéal) of Grande-Digue; her three brothers, Aris LeBlanc (Gilberte) of Cocagne, Léo-Paul LeBlanc (late Bernice) of Grande-Digue, Alvin LeBlanc of Dieppe; her ten grandchildren, Carole, Julie, Serge, Justin, Ricky, Jeremy, Rémy, Janique, Luc, Gabrielle; her three great grandchildren, William, Hailey, Miguel; several nieces and nephews and also by many friends.
Visitations will be held at Passage in Shediac Bridge on Wednesday, August 24 from 2 to 4 pm and 7 to 9 pm and Thursday, August 25 from 2 to 4 pm. Funeral service will be at La Visitation RC Church in Grande-Digue on Thursday, August 25 at 7 pm.
Donations to the Louis J. Robichaud Foundation, the C.N.I.B. or to the donor’s choice would be appreciated by the family.
