Ernie Johnson, 92, of Dieppe, passed away at the Dr. Georges-L.-Dumont University Hospital Center on Friday, November 13th, 2020.
Born in Saint-Louis de Kent, he was the son of the late Alfred and late Liliane (Babineau) Johnson.
He was a 4th degree Knights of Columbus council #6796.
He is survived by his wife Germaine (Martin) Johnson of 68 years; his daughter Paulette (Yves) Johnson of La Pocatière, QC; his three sons: Ralph (Francine) Johnson of Bathurst, Gary Johnson of Dieppe and Paul Johnson of Saint-Louis de Kent; his two sisters: Letha (Maurice) Duguay of Bathurst and Lorna Johnson of Saint John; his two brothers: Earl (Judy) Johnson of Petit-Rocher and Elmer (Diane) Johnson of Rexton; his five grandchildren: David, Erick, Lucie, Steve and Kevin; his eleven great grandchildren, as well as several nieces and nephews.
Besides his parents, he was predeceased by his sister Linda and two brothers, Lloyd and Kenneth.
Masks are mandatory and social distancing must be respected.
Visitation will be held from the Chartersville Funeral Home, 363 Amirault Street, Dieppe (857-1901), on Tuesday, November 17th, 2020 from 2 pm to 4 pm and 7 pm to 9 pm.
A private service by invitation will be held.
Interment in St-Anselme parish Cemetery.
Donations to the CHU Dumont Palliative Care foundation or to donor’s choice would be greatly appreciated by the family.

Né à Saint-Louis de Kent, il était le fils de feu Alfred et de feu Liliane (Babineau) Johnson.
Il était un 4e degré du conseil des Chevaliers de Colomb #6796.
Il laisse dans le deuil son épouse Germaine (Martin) Johnson de 68 ans; sa fille Paulette (Yves) Johnson de La Pocatière, QC; ses trois fils : Ralph (Francine) Johnson de Bathurst, Gary Johnson de Dieppe et Paul Johnson de Saint-Louis de Kent; ses deux sœurs : Letha (Maurice) Duguay de Bathurst et Lorna Johnson de Saint John; ses deux frères : Earl (Judy) Johnson de Petit-Rocher et Elmer (Diane) Johnson de Rexton; ses cinq petits-enfants : David, Erick, Lucie, Steve et Kevin; ses onze arrière-petits-enfants, ainsi que plusieurs nièces et neveux.
Outre ses parents, il fut prédécédé par sa sœur Linda et ses deux frères, Lloyd et Kenneth.
Les Masques sont obligatoires et la distanciation sociale doit être respectée.
Les visites auront lieu à la Maison funéraire Chartersville, 363, rue Amirault, Dieppe (857-1901), le mardi 17 november 2020 de 14h à 16h et de 19h à 21h.
Un service privé sur invitation aura lieu.
L’inhumation au cimetière paroissial de St-Anselme.
Un don à la fondation de soins palliatifs du CHU Dumont ou au choix du donateur serait grandement apprécié par la famille.
