Born in Cocagne, NB, she was the daughter of the late Pascal Richard and the late Amanda (nee Goguen) Richard.

Ethel is survived by one son, Ronald Fougère (Odette) of Shediac Bridge; one daughter, Betty Goguen (Réjean) of Cocagne; four grandchildren, Mario, Célia, Annik and Marcia; three great grandchildren, Kahlan, Arya and Ellie; and four sisters-in-law, Géraldine, Elizabeth, Cécile and Eva; also by several cousins, nieces and nephews.

Besides her parents, she was predeceased by her husband, Robert Fougère; six brothers, Henri, Léandre, Lionel, Adélard, Laurie and Arthur; and four sisters, Florence, Eva, Léa and Doris. Ethel was the last survivor of the family.

Visitation will be held at Passage Funeral Chapel in Shediac Bridge on Tuesday, April 18, 2017 from 2:00 pm to 4:00 pm and from 6:00 pm to 7:30 pm. Funeral service will be held at Passage Funeral Chapel on Tuesday, April 18, 2017 at 7:30 pm.

The family would like to thank the staff of the Villa Providence for their kindness and special care to Ethel while in their care.  Also, A special thanks for their support during her final hours.

Donations to Alzheimer’s Society or a charity of the donor’s choice would be appreciated by the family.
