It is with great sadness we announce the passing of our beloved Euky, 75, of Villa du Repos and formerly of Dieppe, NB, on Tuesday, February 8th, 2011 at his residence.
Born in Fox Creek, NB, he was the son of the late Henri and the late Anna (née: Bourque) Gauvin.
Mr. Gauvin had retired from sales at Krispy Kernel. He was an avid bowler, enjoyed playing pool and cards and watching hockey. He was a member of the Knights of Columbus, Council #1310, the Club d’Age d’Or and the Saint-Anselme parish.
He was a very loving husband to his wife of 54 years, Jeannine (née: Surette) and a great father to his five cherished children: Roland (Charmaine) of Moncton, Carol (Ernie) Fahey of Sackville, Danny of Moncton, Dennis (Majella) of Notre-Dame and Nadine of Moncton; his grandchildren: Marcel, Jessica, James, Mark, Katuscya and Serena, whom he loved and enjoyed teasing. He leaves to mourn his most devoted and supportive family, six sisters: Dorothée (late Arthur) LeBlanc of St.-Anselme, Telerise (late Edouard) Cassidy of Moncton, Rosa (late Camillien) Gaudet, Annette (late Paul-Owen) LeBlanc, Andrea (Rene) LeBlanc and Huberte (Bernard) LeBlanc, all of Dieppe; three brothers: Joe (Eleanor) and Hubert (Yvonne), both of Dieppe and Donald of St.-Charles as well as several nieces and nephews.
He was predeceased by two brothers; Gerard and Fernand and also by his precious grandson, Jason on Sept 14th, 2010.
Visitation will be held from the Chartersville Funeral Home, 363 Amirault Street, Dieppe, NB (857-1901) on Friday from 2 to 4 pm and from 7 to 9 pm.
Funeral mass will be held from the Ste-Thérèse Roman Catholic Church, Dieppe, NB on Saturday, February,12th, 2011 at 11am.
Interment in Saint-Anselme Parish Cemetery, Dieppe, NB.
In lieu of flowers, donations to the Alzheimer Society would be appreciated by the family.
He was such a great person, loving, caring, kind and we will surely miss his great sense of humor. He was a lucky man to be so loved and have so much support from family during his illness.

À sa residence, le mardi 8 février, 2011 à l’âge de 75 ans, est décédé Euclide “Euky” Gauvin. Il demeurait à la Villa du Repos, Moncton, N.-B. autrefois de Dieppe.
Né à Fox Creek, N.-B., il était fils de feu Henri et de feu Anna (née: Bourque) Gauvin.
M. Gauvin avait travaillé dans la vente pour Krispy Kernel. Un passionné des quilles, il aimait aussi le jeu de billards, de cartes et surveillé les parties de hockey. Il était membre des Chevaliers de Colomb – Conseil #1310, le Club d’Age D’Or et la paroisse St-Anselme.
Il laisse dans le deuil son épouse de plus de 54 ans, Jeannine (née: Surette); ses enfants: Roland (Charmaine) de Moncton, Carol (Ernie) Fahey de Sackville, Danny de Moncton, Dennis (Majella) de Notre-Dame et Nadine de Moncton; ses petits-enfants: Marcel, Jessica, James, Mark, Katuscya et Serena; six soeurs: Dorothée (feu Arthur) LeBlanc de St-Anselme, Telerise (feu Edouard) Cassidy de Moncton, Rosa (feu Camillien) Gaudet, Annette (feu Paul-Owen) LeBlanc, Andrea (Rene) LeBlanc et Huberte (Bernard) LeBlanc, tous de Dieppe; trois frères: Joe (Eleanor) et Hubert (Yvonne), tous deux de Dieppe et Donald de St-Charles ainsi que plusieurs neveux et nieces.
Deux frères: Gerard et Fernand ainsi que son petit-fils, Jason le 14 septembre, 2010 l’ont précédé dans la tombe.
Les visites auront lieu à la Maison funéraire Chartersville, 363 rue Amirault, Dieppe, N.-B., (857-1901) le vendredi de 14h à 16h et de 19h à 21h.
Les funérailles auront lieu en l’église Ste-Thérèse, Dieppe, N.-B., le samedi 12 février, 2011 à 11h.
L’inhumation au cimetière paroissial Saint-Anselme, Dieppe, N.-B.
Au lieu des fleurs, un don à la Société Alzheimer serait apprécié par la famille.
