Felix Gallant, 91, of Veterans’ Health Center, Moncton NB, and formerly of Dieppe NB and Shediac NB, passed away on Tuesday, February 13th, 2007 at his residence.
Born in Summerside, PE, he was the son of the late Joseph and the late Marie Pélagie (née: Gallant) Gallant.
Mr. Gallant retired as a tinsmith having worked with several local companies. He served overseas with the medical corp. during WW II and was a member of the Club d’Age d’Or de Dieppe.
He is survived by his wife, Thérèse (née: Arsenault) of Dieppe, NB with whom he celebrated 65 years of marriage in 2006; two daughters: May (Roger) Dallaire of Dieppe, NB and Aurore (Walter) Mitton of Wheaton Settlement, NB; five sons: Jerry (Linda) of Guelph, ON, Léonel (Linda Naumann) of Waterloo, ON, Alfred “Al” and Gus (Ginette), both of Moncton NB, and Louis (Valerie) of Comox, BC; 21 grandchildren; 25 great grandchildren as well as several nieces and nephews.
Mr. Gallant was predeceased by one daughter, Anita; one sister, Marie and also by one brother, Augustin.
Visitation will be held from Chartersville Funeral Home, 363 Amirault Street, Dieppe NB, 857-1901 on Thursday, February 15th, from 2 to 4 pm and from 7 to 9 pm and also on Friday from 10 am until time of departure. Funeral mass will be celebrated from Ste-Thérèse-de-l’Enfant-Jésus Roman Catholic Church, Dieppe, NB on Friday, February 16th, 2007 at 11 am.
Interment in Notre-Dame-du-Calvaire Cemetery, Dieppe, NB.
