Moncton, NB – Fernand Theriault, 70, passed away peacefully at the Dr. Georges-L.-Dumont University Hospital Centre on Saturday, April 6, 2013, after a lengthy illness.
Born in Saint-Léolin, NB on February 18, 1943, he was the son of the late Edward and Regina Theriault.
Fernand is survived by his wife, Mina (Doyle) Theriault of Moncton; two daughters, Gail Theriault and Joannie de Bruin (Rob) both of Toronto, ON; two stepdaughters, Cordella Smith (Micheal) of Riverview and Joan Myers (Terry) of Oshawa, ON; two stepsons, John Doyle (Velma) of Medicine Hat, AB and John O’Neil of Toronto, ON; two sisters, Aurore Comeau of Moncton and Agnes Theriault (Rheal) of Dieppe; four brothers, George (Albina) of Moncton, Henry (Aline) of St-Norbert, John (Eveline) of Kent-Junction and André (Annette) of St-Antoine; seven grandchildren, Joanne, Ashley, Bradley, Christopher, Mindy, Nathan and Ethan; two great grandchildren, Addaleigh and Nicholas; also several nieces and nephews.
Besides his parents, he was predeceased by his stepmother, Marguerite Theriault; two brothers, Roger and Wilman.
Visitations will be at Passage Funeral Chapel, 625 Mountain Road, Moncton, on Tuesday, April 9, 2013 from 2 to 4 pm and 7 to 9 pm. No visitation on Wednesday morning. Funeral service will be held at the St.Timothy’s RC Church in Adamsville on Wednesday, April 10, 2013 at 3:30 pm. Reception to follow at the church hall.
In lieu of flowers, donations to the Dr. Georges-L.-Dumont (Dialysis Dept.) and the Canadian Kidney Foundation or to the donor’s choice would be appreciated by the family.
