Irishtown – Florine (LeBlanc) Gagnon, 64, passed away at home on Wednesday, September 14, 2011, after a 3-year courageous battle against brain cancer (glioblastoma).
Born in Notre-Dame-de-Kent, she was the daughter of the late Edgar and Corinne (Melanson) LeBlanc.
Florine enjoyed travelling, dancing, painting, flowers and all the little pleasures of life.
Florine is survived by her husband, Hervé; one son, Serge (Marie) of Fredericton; one daughter, Suzanne (Roger) of Notre-Dame; four grandchildren, Sophie, Madeleine, Pascal and Marc-Étienne; three brothers, Hector (Géraldine) LeBlanc of Hudson, MA, Ola (Emma) LeBlanc of Natick, MA, and Gilles LeBlanc of Notre-Dame; four sisters, Rita (Gérard) LeBlanc of Leominster, MA, Stella (Gérard) LeBlanc and Lorraine (Raymond) Goguen both of Waltham, MA, Liliane (Ernie) Russo of Brentwood, NH; one special sister-in-law, May, and many brothers and sisters-in-law from the Gagnon family; many nieces, nephews and close friends.
Besides her parents, she was predeceased by one brother, Paul (May).
Visitations will be held at Passage in Shediac Bridge on Thursday, September 15, from 2 to 4 pm and 7 to 9 pm and on Friday, September 16, from 1:30 to 3 pm. Funeral service will be celebrated at the St-Lawrence O’Toole RC Church in Irishtown on Friday, September 16, at 4 pm.
Donations to the Tree of Hope, to “Le Phare des Services Communautaires Inc.” of Bouctouche or to the donor’s choice would be appreciated by the family.
