Born in Shediac, NB, he was the son of the late Aurel and Evelyn (LeBlanc) O’Brien.
Francis will be sadly missed by his wife of 53 years, Laure (Belliveau) O’Brien; his two daughters, Lise Cormier (Marcel) of Shediac and Lynn Leger (Marcel) of Cap-Pelé; his son, Serge O’Brien of Shediac; his sister, Anita Metcalfe (late Roland) of Shediac; his nine grandchildren, Marc, Alain, Natalie, Patrick, Pierre, Danielle, Conrad, Julia and Matthew; his great grandson, Mattéo; also by several brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, aunts, cousins, nieces and nephews.
He was employed by CNR as a Carman Welder until his retirement. He enjoyed bowling, hunting, fishing in his shanty, golfing, RV camping and boating on Shediac Bay. Francis also enjoyed spending time with his nine grandchildren; his sense of humour would always make them smile.
