Grand-Barachois, NB – George Gallant, 63 , passed away peacefully at the Dr. Georges-L.-Dumont University Hospital Centre in Moncton on Saturday , November 28 , 2015, after a long courageous battle with cancer.
Born in Moncton, NB, he was the son of Gonzague and the late Anna (Barriault) Gallant.
George will be sadly missed by his wife, Rosella; his stepdaughter, Shelly Vienneau (Keith Leger) of Dieppe ; his three brothers, Mike (Carolyne) of Riverview, Victor (Gloria) of Shediac and Claude (Dianne) of Grand-Barachois; his three sisters, Gisèle Boudreau (Marcel) of Grand-Barachois, Annette Normandeau (Jean) of Moncton and Louise Gallant (Louis) of Haute-Aboujagane; his three step-grandchildren, Devin, Kory and Derek; also by several aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews.
As per request there will be no visitation at the funeral home. There will be a private funeral service at Passage Funeral Chapel, 3754 Route 134, Shediac Bridge at a later date.
In lieu of flowers, a donation to the Canadian Diabetes Association or to a charity of the donor’s choice would be appreciated by the family.
A special thanks to the staff of the palliative care at the Dr. Georges-L.-Dumont University Hospital Centre for their special care and support.
