George Vautour, 87, of Villa Providence, Shediac and formerly of Dieppe and Waltham Mass., passed away on Friday, April 7th, 2006 at his residence.
Born in Cap-Pélé, NB, he was the son of the late Alfred and the late Mélina (née: Cormier) Vautour.
Mr. Vautour had been employed as a nurse and ambulance attendant at the Moncton Hospital, he was also a 3rd degree member of the Knight of Columbus in the US.
He is survived by one sister-in-law, Lilianne Vautour of Shediac and by several nieces and nephews.
He was predeceased by his 1st wife, Gracia Coté; his 2nd wife, Edna Pellerin; three sisters: Delphine Bannister, Marianne Thibodeau and Edna Moore and also by one brother, Adélard Vautour.
Visitation will be held from the Chartersville Funeral Home, 363 Amirault Street, Dieppe, 857-1901, on Sunday, April 9th, 2006 from 2 to 4 pm and from 7 to 9 pm and also on Monday from 10 am until time of service. Funeral service will be celebrated at the Chartersville Funeral Home Chapel on Monday, April 10th, 2006 at 11 am. Interment in Ste-Thérèse d’Avila Parish Cemetery, Cap Pelé, NB Donations to the Fondation Providence or the Alzheimer Society would be appreciated by the family
