Grande-Digue – Gérard Gaudet, 59, passed away peacefully at the City Moncton Hospital, surrounded by his loving family, on Monday, August 8, 2011, after a brief courageous battle with cancer.
Born in Grande-Digue on April 29, 1952, he was the son of the late Alex Gaudet and Lorraine Melanson.
Gérard will be sadly missed by his special friend, Éveline Gallant; his mother, Lorraine of Dieppe, his two brothers, Roger (Yvette) of Grande-Digue, Guy (Ginette) of Dieppe; his sister, Jeannette Bourque (Gilles) of Grande-Digue; one niece, Nadine; three nephews, Luc, Denis and René.
He was predeceased by one brother, Maurice.
Visitations will be held at Passage in Shediac Bridge on Wednesday, August 10 from 2 to 4 pm and 7 to 9 pm and on Thursday, August 11 from 1:30 to 2:30 pm. Funeral service will be at La Visitation RC Church in Grande-Digue on Thursday, August 11 at 3 pm.
Donations to Canadian Cancer Society or to the donor’s choice would be appreciated by the family.
