Rothesay, NB – Gérène Surette, 67, passed away at the St. John’s Regional Hospital in Saint John on Tuesday, November 20, 2018.

Born in Cocagne, NB, she was the daughter of the late Robert and the late Edmée Surette (nee Richard).

Gérène will be sadly missed by her two sons, Sacha (Michelle), of Montreal, QC and Yoann (Jenn) of Fredericton; her four brothers, Conrad, Rodrigue (Joy) and Dolan (Huguette), all from Cocagne, and Robert “Bobby” (Lilianne) of Moncton; three sisters, Hedwidge (Late Ronald) of Notre-Dame, Carmel and Bernette (Leonard), both from Cocagne; also by several aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews.

Besides her parents, Gérène was predeceased by her husband Michel (2012), her brother Claude, her sister Rachel and her little niece Sorelle.

A teacher by profession, she touched the heart of many of her students.

Visitations will be held at Passage in Shediac Bridge on Sunday, November 25, 2018 from 2:00 to 4:00 pm and from 7:00 to 9:00 pm. Funeral service will be held at the St-Pierre-de-Cocagne RC Church in Cocagne on Monday, November 26, 2018 at 11:00 am. There will be no visitation on Monday, November 26, 2018.

Donations to École Notre-Dame in Notre-Dame or École Blanche Bourgeois in Cocagne (lunch box) would be appreciated by the family.
