Gertie Freeman, 85, of Grass Nursing Home, Riverview, NB and formerly of Dieppe, NB, passed away on Saturday, May 30th, 2015, at her residence.
Born in Quebec City, QC, she was the daughter of the late Michael and the late Emelia (née: Gauvin) Geraghty.
She is survived by three daughters: Cathy (Mike) St. Onge of Amherst, NS, Carole (Michel) Bertin of Dieppe and Christine (Paul) Beer of Ottawa, ON; one son, Bob (Anne Phillips) of Abbotsford, BC; 7 grandchildren: Amber, Nathan, Justin, Zachary, Danielle, Leah and Jordan; 4 great grandchildren: Ben, Will, Myra and Olive, as well as several nieces and nephews.
Besides her parents, she was predeceased by her husband, W.J. "Bill" in 1996 and also by three brothers: Bill, Michael and Freddy.
Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated from Saint-Anselme Roman Catholic Church, Dieppe, NB, on Friday, June 5th, 2015 at 11 am, reception to follow.
In lieu of flowers, donations to a memorial of the donor’s choice would be appreciated by the family.

Née à la Ville de Quebec, QC, elle était fille de feu Michael et de feu Emelia (née Gauvin) Geraghty.
Elle laisse dans le deuil trois filles: Cathy (Mike) St. Onge d’Amherst, N.-E. Carole (Michel) Bertin de Dieppe et Christine (Paul) Beer d’Ottawa, ON; un fils, Bob (Anne Phillips) d’Abbotsford, C.-B.; 7 petits-enfants: Amber, Nathan, Justin, Zachary, Danielle, Leah et Jordan; 4 arrière petits-enfants: Ben, Will, Myra et Olive, ainsi que de nombreux neveux et nièces.
Outre ses parents, son époux, W.J. “ Bill” en 1996, ainsi que trois frères: Bill, Michael et Freddy, l’ont précédée dans la tombe.
La messe des funérailles aura lieu en l’église Saint-Anselme à Dieppe, N.-B., le vendredi 5 juin 2015, à 11h, suivit d’une réception.
Au lieu des fleurs, un don à une œuvre de bienfaisance de choix serait apprécié par la famille.
