Scoudouc, NB – Gertrude Bourgeois, 68, passed away peacefully at the Dr. Georges-L.-Dumont University Hospital Centre in Moncton, on Wednesday, July 31, 2019.

Born in Lamèque, NB, she was the daughter of the late Etienne Savoie and Edmonde Savoie.

Gertrude will be sadly missed by her loving husband, Guy Bourgeois of Scoudouc; by her son, Daniel Chiasson (Muguette) of Dieppe; by two daughters, Chantal Rioux (Dominique) of Scoudouc and Lyne Cormier (Mathieu) of Shediac; by six brothers, Raoul Savoie (Melita) of Bathurst, René Savoie (Lucie) of Allardville, Jean Savoie (Francine) of ON, Eugène Savoie of QC, Martin Savoie (Manon) of Shippagan and François Savoie of QC; by eight sisters, Marie-Mai Noël (Jean-Pierre) of Scoudouc, Lucienne Savoie of QC, Marcelle Robichaud (Aristide) of ON, Léa Mallet (Jean-Victor) of St-Isidore, Huberte Jackman of ON, Johanne Laprise (Marc) of ON, Hélène Savoie Poirier (Michel) of Scoudouc and Manie Chiasson of QC; by seven grandchildren, Frédéric, Jérémy, Amélie, Gabrielle, Zachary, William and Alyssa; by several cousins, nieces and nephews; by her in-law family; and also by the father of her children, Jeannot Chiasson (Marielle) of Lamèque.

Besides her father, she was predeceased by four brothers, Paul, Fernand, Jean-Martin and a baby brother.

Visitation will be held at Passage Funeral Chapel in Shediac Bridge on Tuesday, August 6, 2019 from 1:30pm to 3:30pm followed by the Funeral service at St-Jacques-le-Majeur Roman Catholic Church in Scoudouc at 4pm.
