After a difficult battle, Gils passed away on April 25th, 2013, at the Dr. Georges-L.-Dumont University Hospital Center, Moncton surrounded by his loving family.
Born in Edmundston, NB, he was the son of Victor and Norma (née: Langlais) Bourgoin.
A father, husband, brother and friend, who loved life and was always ready to give a helping hand, whether it was at work, at home or during his hobbies, such as his many inventions, Gils was very dedicated and perseverant. Everyone who knew Gils will remember him by his contagious laugh and his unique sense of humour.
Besides his parents: Victor and Norma of Grand Falls; he will be sadly missed by his wife, Danielle Robichaud; one daughter, Monick (Jérémie DesRoches) of Montreal, QC; two sons: Michel (Renée LeBlanc) of Dieppe and André at home; two sisters: Carol (Réjean) Cyr of Siegas, NB and Nicole (Jeff) Bourgoin-Carr of Fredericton; parents-in-law: Fernand and Ginette Robichaud of St-Louis-de-Kent; one sister-in-law; two brothers-in-law; as well as several nieces, nephews and many, many friends.
Visitation will be held from the Chartersville Funeral Home, 363 Amirault Street, Dieppe, NB (857-1901) on Sunday from 7 to 9 pm.
Funeral mass will be celebrated from Saint-Anselme Roman Catholic Church, Dieppe, on Monday, April 29th, 2013 at 11 am.
Donations to a memorial of the donor’s choice would be appreciated by the family.
Après un combat difficile, Gils nous a quitté paisiblement le 25 avril, 2013 au Centre hospitalier universitaire Dr-Georges-L.-Dumont de Moncton, entouré de sa famille.
Né à Edmundston, N.-B., il était fils de Victor et Norma (née: Langlais) Bourgoin.
Un père, mari, frère et ami exceptionnel qui aimait la vie et qui avait un sens de partage sans pareil. Gils a fait preuve de persévérance et de dévouement dans tous les projets entrepris, que ce soit au travail, à la maison, dans ses loisirs et lors de ses multiples inventions. Tous les gens qui ont côtoyé Gils se souviendront de son sens d’humour unique et de son rire contagieux.
Outre ses parents: Victor et Norma de Grand-Sault; Il laisse dans le deuil son épouse, Danielle Robichaud; une fille, Monick (Jérémie DesRoches) de Montreal, QC; deux fils: Michel (Renée LeBlanc) de Dieppe et André à la maison; deux soeurs: Carol (Réjean) Cyr de Siegas, N.-B. et Nicole (Jeff) Bourgoin-Carr de Fredericton; ses beaux-parents: Fernand et Ginette Robichaud de St-Louis-de-Kent; une belle-soeur; deux beau-frères; ainsi que plusieurs neveux, nièces et beaucoup, beaucoup d’amis.
Les visites auront lieu à la Maison funéraire Chartersville, 363 rue Amirault, Dieppe, N.-B. (857-1901) le dimanche de 19h à 21h.
Les funérailles auront lieu en l’église Saint-Anselme, Dieppe, le lundi 29 avril, 2013, à 11h.
