It is with heavy hearts that we say "au revoir" to a precious husband, father, grandfather, brother and friend, Gérard Boucher on January 25th, 2017. Born in Bouctouche, NB, he was the son of the late Albert and the late Mathilda (née Bourgeois) Boucher.
Beloved husband of Claudette (Savoie), he also leaves behind his two daughters, Carole Boucher (Peter Matthews) of Saint John and Monique Boucher-Labbé (Maxime Labbé) of Dieppe. He will also be missed greatly by his five grandchildren whom he adored, Patrick Anthony, Sarah Anthony, Isaac Matthews, Marianne Labbé, and Félix Labbé. He also leaves to mourn his sister Anita Léger (late Euclide), his brothers Laurie (Joan) Boucher and Alyre (Rosemonde) Boucher, and his son-in-law John Anthony. He will also be missed by his sisters-in-law Denise Léger (Michel) and Andréa Savoie (Marc Brunet), his brother-in-law André Savoie (Maria), his nephews and nieces, cousins, and numerous friends.
As a teacher, he worked in several schools in the Dieppe area, 10 years of which he was the principal of the former École Sacré-Coeur.
Family and friends may pay their respects at the Chartersville Funeral Home, 363 Amirault Street, in Dieppe on January 29th, 2017 from 7:00pm to 9:00pm.
The celebration of his life will be held at the Chartersville Funeral Home Chapel, in Dieppe, on Monday, January 30th, 2017 at 11:00am. The family will receive condolences from 10:00am until time of service.

Originaire de Bouctouche, il était le fils de feu Albert Boucher et Mathilda (Bourgeois) Boucher.
Le départ de Gérard laisse un grand vide dans nos vies. Il était l’époux de Claudette (Savoie) Boucher. Outre son épouse, il laisse dans le deuil ses deux filles Carole Boucher (Peter Matthews) de Saint John et Monique Boucher-Labbé (Maxime Labbé) de Dieppe, cinq petits-enfants qu’il adorait ; Patrick Anthony, Sarah Anthony, Isaac Matthews, Marianne Labbé, et Félix Labbé. Il laisse également sa soeur Anita Léger (feu Euclide), ses frères Laurie (Joan) Boucher et Alyre (Rosemonde) Boucher, ses belles-sœurs Denise Léger (Michel) et Andréa Savoie (Marc Brunet), son beau-frère André Savoie (Maria), son gendre John Anthony, ainsi que ses neveux, nièces, cousin(e)s, et ami(e)s.
Enseignant, il fit carrière dans différentes écoles de Dieppe dont 10 années comme directeur de l’ancienne école Sacré-Coeur.
La direction des funérailles a été confiée à la Maison funéraire Chartersville de Dieppe.
La famille sera présente le dimanche 29 janvier 2017 de 19h00 à 21h00 pour recevoir les condoléances.
Une célébration de sa vie aura lieu le lundi 30 janvier 2017 à 11h00 à la chapelle de la Maison funéraire Chartersville, situé au 363 rue Amirault (857-1901), Dieppe. La famille recevra les condoléances à compter de 10h00.
