Cocagne, NB – Hypolite Allain, 92, passed away peacefully at Stella-Maris-de-Kent Hospital in Ste-Anne-de-Kent, surrounded by his loving family, on Tuesday, January 31, 2017, after a brief illness.
Born in Cocagne, NB, he was the son of the late Louis and Adèle (Roy) Allain.
Hypolite was a fisherman for 55 years and was working at the Saint John Port, NB.
Hypolite will be sadly missed by his loving wife of 64 years, Adrienne; his daughter, Florine Allain (François) of Cocagne; his three sons, Adrien (Sylvia), André (Marc) and Tilmon all of Cocagne; his two sisters, Hélène Melanson (late Irèné) and Florine Cormier (late Émile) both of Cocagne; his grandchildren, Pierre, Suzanne, Steven, Céline, Dylan, Justin and Lindsay; also by several cousins, nieces and nephews.
Besides his parents, he was predeceased by his infant son, Pierre (6years); his sister, Marguerite; his two brothers, Denis and Felix.
Visitations will be at St-Pierre-de-Cocagne slumber room in Cocagne, on Sunday, February 5, 2017 from 2 to 4 pm and from 7 to 9 pm and on Monday, February 6, 2017 from 9:30 until time of funeral service at St-Pierre-de-Cocagne RC Church at 11 am. A reception will follow.
In lieu of flowers, donations to the Stella-Maris-de-Kent Hospital or to a charity of the donor’s choice would be appreciated by the family.
