Shediac – Irène Breau, 93, passed away peacefully at the Dr. Georges-L.-Dumont University Hospital Centre, surrounded by her loving family, on Wednesday, June 6, 2012, after a brief illness.
Born in Shediac on June 28, 1918, she was the daughter of the late Blair and Léonie (Cormier) Melanson.
Irène will be sadly missed by her three sons, Léonce Robichaud (Mai) of Shediac, Norbert Robichaud of Barachois and Donald Breau (Bernice) of Shediac; one daughter, Raymonde O’Brien (Léo) of Shediac; eight grandchildren, Leeann, Donna, Joyce, Norbert Jr., Jeff, Shannon, Kevin, and Jenna; and also several nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by five brothers, Léonard, Alcide, Blair, Ernest, Gérard and five sisters, Exelda, Victoire, Léa, Léonie and Florence.
Visitations will be at Passage in Shediac Bridge on Monday, June 11th, from 10 am till time of funeral. The funeral service will be held at the Passage funeral chapel at 11 am.
Donations to the Dr. Georges-L.-Dumont University Hospital Centre (Oncology Dept.) or to the donor’s choice would be appreciated by the family.
