– J. Ulric (Rick) Landry, 93, passed away peacefully at the Dr. Georges-L.-Dumont University Hospital Centre in Moncton, surrounded by his loving family, on Tuesday, January 20, 2015, after a brief illness.Born in Dupuis Corner, NB, he was the son of the late Philias and the late Annie (Cormier) Landry.
Rick was building superintendent of Terminal Centre Ltd, in Moncton until his retirement. He was a first class stationery engineer and a licensed electrician.
Rick is survived by his wife, Sheila (Allen/Trenholm) Landry; his daughter, Donna Lockhart (Marks) of Moncton; his son, Dale Landry of Shediac River; as well as several nieces and nephews; he is also survived by his five step-daughters, Roberta Copp (Peter) of Irishtown, Nerie Allen of Port Elgin, Robynn Polley (Don) of Upper Cape, Deanna Fillmore (Chris) and Leanne Trenholm (Mike Allain) both of Moncton; his eight step-grandchildren, Tricia (Tim) and their daughter Presley; Andrew, Nathan (Jessica) and their children, Noah and Nadia; Cody (Jean) and their daughter, Rayelle; Kelsie, Brooke, Brandon and Jordan. He was the last surviving member of his family.
Besides his parents, he was predeceased by six brothers, Albert, Charles, Romuald, Mathias, Sifroid and Philippe; four sisters, Zelica, Ida, Florine and Yvonne.
In respect of Rick’s wishes, there will be no visitations. Funeral mass will be held at the St. Bartholomew Roman Catholic Church in Melrose, on Thursday, January 29, 2015 at 11am with Rev. Charles Broderick officiating. Reception to follow.
Donations to the Friends of the Moncton Hospital, the Tree of Hope or to donor’s choice would be appreciated by the family.
