Jean-Luc Bédard, 52, of Dieppe, NB passed away on Wednesday, April 12th, 2006 at the Dr. Georges-L. Dumont Hospital, Moncton, NB, after a courageous battle with ALS (Lou Gerigh’s disease).
Jean-Luc was a determined and active businessman. His creativity, kindness and generosity afforded him much respect in the business world.
Born in Rimouski, QC, he was the son of Gérard Bédard and Madeleine Parent.
Besides his parents, he is survived by his adoring wife, Normande Rioux; much loved children Meggie and Emanuel both at home; four sisters: Colette (Pierre Pimpare) of St. Zotique, QC, Pierrette (Gilles Chartrand) and Hélène both of Rimouski, QC and also Bibianne (Denis Bédard) of Okotoks, AB; four brothers: Georges (Pauline Bérubé) of Rimouski, QC, Raymond (Ginette Dubé) of Cap St. Ignace, QC, Bertrand of Victoriaville, QC and Sylvain of Levis, QC.
Visitation will be held from Jacques Belzile Funeral Home in Rimouski, QC, on Tuesday, April 18th, 2006 from 7 to 10 pm and also on Wednesday from 1 pm until time of departure. Funeral mass will be celebrated at Ste-Agnes Roman Catholic Church in Rimouski, QC, on Wednesday, April 19th, 2006 at 2 pm. Local arrangements entrusted to the Chartersville Funeral Home, Dieppe.
Donations to the ALS Society would be appreciated by the family.
