Shediac, NB – Jeanne Leger, 92, passed away peacefully at the Villa Providence in Shediac, surrounded by her loving family, on Tuesday, August 26, 2014, after a short illness.

Born in Ste-Marie-de-Kent, NB, she was the daughter of the late Albert and Eugénie (LeBlanc) Nowlan.

Jeanne will be sadly missed by her five sons, Albert (Evelyne) of Waltham, Mass, Jean-Paul (Penny) of Pepperell, Mass, Normand (Lucienne) of Grande-Digue, Emerie (Judy) of Sagamore Beach, Mass, Pierre of Salisbury; her daughter, Lucille Leger of Dixmont, Maine; her two brothers, Rodolphe of Fitchburg, Mass, William (Norma) of Ste-Marie-de-Kent; her three sisters, Marie LeBlanc (late Gérard) of St-Antoine, Léona Boudreau (Jean) of Calhoun, Alice Savoie (Ernest) of Templeton, Mass; her thirteen grandchildren; her twenty-eight great grandchildren; her eight great great grandchildren; also by several nieces and nephews.

Besides her parents, she was predeceased by her husband, Elie (1981); one son, Ronald (1996); five sisters, Rita, Lina, Laurraine, Corinne and Lucille; one brother, Désiré.

Visitations will be at the Notre-Dame-du-Mont-Carmel slumber room in Ste-Marie-de-Kent on Friday, August 29 from 2 to 4 and 6 pm until time of funeral. Funeral service will be held at the Notre-Dame-du-Mont-Carmel Roman Catholic Church on Friday, August 29 at 7 pm.
