With heavy hearts the family announce the passing of Jeannine Magee (née Léger) on January 17th, 2014 at the Villa du Repos on Murphy Avenue, in Moncton, NB, at the age of 86. Born in St. Joseph (Westmorland County), NB on June 6th, 1927, she was a daughter of the late Oscar and the late Zelma (née Landry) Léger.
Jeannine worked for 17 years at Tourism New Brunswick in Riverview and enjoyed curling.
Jeannine is survived by her loving and devoted sister, Bertille Demers of Dieppe; two sons: Michael and Paul Magee, both of Moncton; two daughters: Susan Magee (José Herran-Lima) of Moncton and Jo-Ann Magee of Ste-Anne-de-Bellevue, QC; seven grand-children: Patrick, Jill, Jessica, Katherine, Alexandra, Caroline and Mark; two great-grandchildren: Elise and Chloe, as well as many nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held from the Chartersville Funeral Home, 363 Amirault Street, Dieppe, NB, (857-1901) on Saturday from 8: 30 am until time of service.
Funeral service will be celebrated from the Chartersville Funeral Home Chapel, on Saturday June 21st, 2014 at 10: 30 am.
The family would like to thank the staff at the Villa du Repos for the exceptional care and support to Jeannine and her family along the road of her lengthy illness.
Avec le coeur lourd, la famille annonce le décès de Jeannine Magee (née Léger), le 17 janvier 2014 à la Villa du Repos, avenue Murphy, Moncton, N.-B., à l’âge de 86 ans. Née à St Joseph (comté de Westmorland), N.-B., le 6 juin 1927, elle était la fille de feu Oscar et de feu Zelma (née Landry) Léger. Jeannine laisse dans le deuil sa sœur, Bertille Demers de Dieppe; deux fils: Michael et Paul Magee, tous deux de Moncton, deux filles: Susan Magee (José Herran-Lima) de Moncton et Jo-Ann Magee de Ste-Anne-de-Bellevue, PQ; sept petits-enfants: Patrick, Jill, Jessica, Katherine, Alexandra, Caroline et Mark; deux arrières petits-enfants: Élise et Chloé, ainsi que de nombreux neveux et nièces.
Jeannine avait travaillée pendant 17 ans au ministère du Tourisme, Nouveau-Brunswick à Riverview et aimait le curling.
Les visites auront lieu à la Maison funéraire Chartersville, 363 rue Amirault, Dieppe, N.-B., (857-1901) le samedi de 8h 30 jusqu’à l’heure des funérailles.
Les funérailles auront lieu en la chapelle de la Maison funéraire Chartersville, le samedi 21 juin 2014 à 10h 30.
En guise de sympathie, un don à la fondation Villa du Repos ou à une œuvre de bienfaisance de choix serait apprécié par la famille.
La famille désire remercier le personnel de la Villa du Repos pour les soins exceptionnels reçus par Jeannine au cours de sa longue maladie.
