Born in Moncton, NB, she was the daughter of the late Austin and the late Juanita Hicks (born Chase).
Joan will be sadly missed by her husband, Irwin Cusac; her children, Anne-Marie Cusac (John Scott Watson) of Chicago, Laura Vette (Brad) of Wisconsin and Mark Cusac of New York; her grandchildren, Morgan, Kendal, Benjamin; her brother, Joseph “Joe” Hicks (Sandra Jones) of Saint John; her sisters, Janice Hayes (late John) of Bloomfield, Juanita Hicks of Shediac, Jackie Hicks (John Reid) of Halifax and Judith Twitty (late Bill) of South Carolina; also by several cousins, nieces and nephews.
Besides her parents, she was predeceased by her sisters, Jeanette (infant) and Jade Creighton (David).
In respect to Joan’s wishes, there will be no visitation and funeral service.
