En Souvenir De
JOAN FREDA MYERS
octobre 22, 2019

Our beloved mother, Joan F. Myers passed away peacefully on Tuesday, October 22, 2019.

Born on February 12, 1942, she was the youngest child of Tyler and Freda Sisson of Arthurette, N.B.

She leaves behind her brother, Donald Sisson of Arthurette, N.B. and is predeceased by her brothers; Russell, Harvey, Clifton and her sisters; Dorothy and Glenna.

She is survived by her loving husband of 56 years, Donald Myers of Moncton, cherished daughters, Giselle (Allan) Arsenault (Moncton) and Tracy (Mark) Thomson (Riverview) and her two treasured grandchildren who were her pride and joy, and her "Best Buds", Brianne Arsenault and Jace Thomson.

Mom left home at seventeen to attend Teacher’s College in Moncton. She taught in the public school system for three years before establishing her career at NBCC Moncton in the office Technology Department. She proudly finished her career at the college as their first female Department Head. She was also instrumental in starting the first NBTEL call center in Moncton.

Mom loved to sew, knit, craft giving most of her creations away to family and friends. Her homemade bread and freezer jam were the best. Before her illness, she and dad spent their winters in Largo, Florida and their summers at the cottage in Rexton.  Mom was one of a kind with a heart of gold and a special lady to so many. Forever in our hearts, "Love you Big as the Sky".

Visitation will be held from the Chartersville Funeral Home, 363 Amirault Street, Dieppe, (857-1901) on Sunday from 2 to 4 pm and from 6 to 8 pm only.

A Celebration of the Word will be held from the Chartersville Funeral Home Chapel, on Monday, October 28th, 2019 at 2:30 pm, with Father Allison Carroll officiating.

Interment in Our Lady of Calvary Cemetery, Dieppe.

In lieu of flowers, if desired donations can be made to the Alzheimer’s Society or the Friends of the Moncton Hospital.

The family would like to thank the loving and caring staff at 61 Pro Tem Health Services for treating mom as their own.
