Fitchburg, Mass. – JoAnne LeBlanc, 61, passed away peacefully at Keystone Nursing Home, Leominster, Mass., surrounded by her loving family, on Tuesday, January 21, 2014.
Born in Hamilton, Ont. on September 30, 1952, she was the daughter of Normand and Gisèle LeBlanc (nee Caissie) of St. Thomas, NB.
JoAnne was a professional seamstress, she worked many years at Ginny`s thrift and also worked for the IRS for fifteen years.
Besides her parents, Joanne will be sadly missed by her beloved family, her son, Wayne LeBlanc (Barbara) of Fort Myers, FL.; her daughter, Cheryl LeBlanc of Fitchburg, Mass.; her son, Shawn LeBlanc of Fitchburg, Mass.; her sisters, Denise Duguay of Leominster, Mass., Diane Maillet (Denis) of Bouctouche, Brenda Goguen (Ronald Léger) of Cocagne, Lynne Hébert of Moncton; her brothers, Raymond LeBlanc of St. Thomas, NB, David LeBlanc (Patty) of Gardner, Mass., Paul LeBlanc of St. Thomas, NB, Lenny LeBlanc (Eileen) of Bouctouche; her sister-in-law, Maryanne LeBlanc of St. Joseph, NB; her grandchildren, Kristen, Jason, Dohnavan, Rheannon, Daniel & David; her great grandchildren, Kayleigh, Logan, Kody & Mia; she is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by her brother, René LeBlanc and a niece Renée Poirier.
In respect to JoAnne’s wishes, there will be no visitations. Funeral service will be held at the St-Pierre-de-Cocagne RC Church in Cocagne on Friday, February 7, 2014 at 3:00pm.
In lieu of flowers, donations to Canadian Cancer Society or to the donor’s choice would be appreciated by the family.
