Rexton, NB – John Newcomb, 84, passed away peacefully at his residence, on Thursday, April 2, 2020.
Born in Saint-Anne-de-Kent, NB, he was the son of the late Owen Newcomb and Marie-Anne (born Richard).
John will be sadly missed by his children, Gary (Georgina) of St-Louis-de-Kent, Louise MacKay (late Brian) of Moncton, Frank (Noëlla) of Bouctouche, Brian (Carol) of Dieppe and Jason (Shayla) of Vancouver, BC; his brothers, Frank (Odilla) of Cocagne, Christin Richard (Albertine) of Richibouctou-Village; his half brothers and sisters, Paul (Janice) of Moncton, Regis (Rose-Marie) of St-Antoine, Emery (Françoise) of Moncton, Annette Roussel (Florent) of Quebec and Lorraine McAninch (Dwayne) of Florida; also by several grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
Besides his parents, he was predeceased by his wife, Bernice (born O’Brien); his stepfather, Theodore Collette; two sisters, Mildred (Paul) and Helen (Joe).
As per John’s wishes, there will be no visitation. A small ceremony with his children and family will be held at a later date.
