Cocagne, NB – Lawrence McGrath, 58, passed away peacefully at the Dr. Georges-L.-Dumont University Hospital Centre in Moncton, on Saturday, August 23, 2014, after a lengthy illness.
Born in Cocagne, NB, he was the son of the late Thomas and Dorina (Babineau) McGrath.
Lawrence was passionate about his work at the “Centre d’Habilité Sud-Est” in Cap-Pelé for eleven years. He was also an ardent fan of the Montreal Canadiens hockey team.
Lawrence will be sadly missed by his five brothers, Paul (Laura), Harold (Christine), Edmund all of Cocagne, Donald (Gloria) of Moncton and Ronald (Brenda) of Saint John; his sister, Juliana (Julie) McGrath (Marcel) of Ste-Marie-de-Kent; also by several nieces, nephews and several grand nieces and nephews.
Visitations will be at Passage in Shediac Bridge on Tuesday, August 26 from 7 to 9 pm and on Wednesday, August 27 from 9:30 to 10:30 am. Funeral service will be held at the St. Pierre-de-Cocagne Roman Catholic Church on Wednesday, August 27 at 11 am.
Donations to the “Centre d’Habilité Sud-Est”, Alzheimer’s Society or to the donor’s choice would be appreciated by the family.
