Born in Acadieville, NB, he was the son of the late Eugène and the late Marie Caissie (nee Caissie).

Léo served with the 22th Regiment from 1959 to 1962, a member of the Club D’Âge d’Or, Notre Dame de Grâce, he was also a 3rd degree member of the Knights of Columbus # 6468.

Léo is survived by his two daughters, Jacqueline Collette (Jim) and Anne Doiron (Ronald) all of Moncton, NB; by his son, Daniel (Lisa) of Oshawa, ON; by his six sisters, Madeleine Gallant (Émile) of Saint-Louis, NB, Anne-Marie Doiron (Sylvère) of Acadieville, NB, Eugénie Queena (Tom) of Moncton, NB, Virgine Arsenault (Aquila) of Aldouane, NB, Hester Daigle (Ernest) of Moncton, NB and Florence Robichaud (Roger) of Moncton, NB; by his two brothers, Johnny (Carmelle) of Rogersville, NB and Fernand (Rose-Marie) of Acadieville, NB; by his five grandchildren, James, Julie, Brunia, Danie & Brandon; by his great-grandchildren, Randall and Maëlle. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.

Besides his parents, Léo was predeceased by his wife Marie Caissie (nee Haché) in 2014.

Visitation will held at Passage Funeral Chapel, 625 Mountain Road (corner West Lane), Moncton, NB on Thursday, October 6th, 2016 from 6:00pm – 9:00pm and on Friday, October 7th, 2016 from 9:30am – 10:30am. Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Friday, October 7th, 2016 at Notre-Dame-de-Grâce RC Church, 854 Mountain Road, Moncton, NB at 11:00am. Burial will take place at the Acadieville parish cemetery, Acadieville, NB.

Donations to the CHU Dumont Foundation (Oncology Department) would be appreciated by the family.
