Leo Myers, 85, of Moncton, passed away on Wednesday, May 10th, 2006 at the Dr. Georges-L. Dumont Hospital.
Born in Amherst, NS, he was the son of the late Thomas and the late Ida (née: Williams) Myers.
Mr. Myers retired as an electrician from the Dumont Hospital, he enjoyed bowling and fishing and was a parishioner at Notre-Dame-de-Grâce R.C.C.
He is survived by his wife, Rita (née Lirette); two daughters: Diana (John) Anderson of Notre-Dame and Stella Sedere of Toronto; two sons: Donald (Joan) of Rexton and Thomas (Rejeanne) of Moncton; daughter-in-law, Ruth of Riverview; four sisters: Dora Quimet of Montreal, Loretta Lirette, Florence Mills and Dot Myers, all three from Moncton; three brothers: Len (Huberte), Gerry and Ernest (Sylvia), all of Moncton; 8 grandchildren: Giselle, Tracy, David, Shelley, Nancy, Stephen, Shawn and Christopher; 5 great grandchildren: Brianne, Cassidie, Nadia, Sarah and Nicholas and also by several nieces and nephews.
He was predeceased by three sisters: Anita, Mabel and Emma and also by five brothers: Clarence, Laurie, Vincent, Tony and Ronald.
Visitation will be held from the Chartersville Funeral Home, 363 Amirault Street, Dieppe, 857-1901, on Friday, May 12th, 2006 from 2 to 4 pm and from 7 to 9 pm and also on Saturday, May 13th, 2006 from 10 am until time of departure. Funeral mass will be celebrated from Notre-Dame-de-Grâce Roman Catholic Church, on Saturday, May 13th, 2006 at 11 am.
Interment in Notre-Dame du Calvaire Cemetery, Dieppe, NB
