Moncton, NB – Leonard (Bidou) LeBlanc, 79, passed away peacefully at the Dr. Georges-L.-Dumont University Hospital Centre in Moncton, surrounded by his loving family, on Friday, March 15, 2019.
Born in Moncton, he was the son of the late Ernest and the late Alida LeBlanc (nee Maillet).
Leonard was an avid hunter and fisherman, he was a big fan of the Montreal Canadians Hockey Team and liked to watch boxing match with his special companion, his dog, Taco.
Leonard will be sadly missed by his daughter, Joanne LeBlanc (Brent Miller) of Moncton; his son, Rene (Sherry) of Moncton; his two brothers, Romeo (Jackie) of Oshawa, ON and Victor (Phyllis) of Moncton; his three sisters, Juliette Bourgeois (late Rene) of Woburn, Mass, Theresa Randell (Dick) of Florida and Yvonne Ferreh of Hudson, Mass; his four grandchildren, Cory (Jennie), Matthew (Crystal), Terilyn (Joey) and Joel (Tacha); his eleven great grandchildren, Hannah, McKenzie, Noah, David, Haily, Connor, Caden, Aubree, Zoey, Noah and Liam; also by several cousins, nieces and nephews.
Besides his parents, he was predeceased by his wife, Elva and his brother, Gerald.
Visitation will be held at Passage Funeral Chapel (625 Mountain road, corner West Lane, Moncton) on Saturday, April 6, 2019 from 1pm until time of celebration of life at 3 pm with Pastor Colin Cook officiating. Reception will follow.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to a charity of your choice.
