Leonard Boudreau
February 28th, 1935 ~ March 23rd, 2021
With heavy hearts, the Boudreau clan bids farewell to one of their most cherished forebearers, Leonard Boudreau of Moncton, who passed on Tuesday, March 23rd, 2021 at the age of 86. Born on February 28th, 1935 in St-Leonard, NB to parents Nicolas and Evéline (Frenette), Leonard and his late wife Claudia (Gallant), raised 5 children (Roland, Maria, Louis, Nicole and Gilles), whom borne 11 Grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren to the world.
Len was a man who wore many pants, and kept himself busy through his long life. Gifted with an artisanal hand at a young age, Leonard’s landscape paintings would give Bob Ross a run for his money. Leonard’s handiwork would also have adorned the windows at the local Dominion Grocery store, where he worked for many years as a grocer.
A well-travelled man, Len and his beloved wife Claudia, have spent months crisscrossing the country by van, and have enjoyed some nice boat cruises as well. Other hobbies including bowling, rock collecting and polishing, and an affinity for French cinema.
Later in life, if Len would wander off and get lost, you could always count on him to be back in his recliner in time for the Habs game, for which he never missed a puck-drop.
In his last days, Len was just as handsome as he was in his early years. And with an unbreakable hairline of thick, wavy hair, he put many of his own grandchildren to shame.
Although Len’s passing is a hard pill to swallow for many, it warms our hearts to know that he has a magnificent woman waiting patiently for him on the other side.
We invite you to Leonard’s celebration of life, on Monday March 29th at Passage Funeral Chapel (625, Mountain Rd, Moncton). Visitations will be held from 9am until the time of the Celebration of his life at 11am.
