Born in Shediac, NB, he was the son of the late Alphonse and the late Éléonore Gallant (nee Goguen). Léonce worked for Eastern Bakery for 43 years.
Léonce is survived by his loving wife, Léa Gallant (nee Richard) of Moncton; by his two sons, Roland (Kathy Isaac) of Moncton and Gilles (Gisèle Daigle) of Dieppe; by his two sisters, Lucille Chisholm (late Leonard) of Lunenburg, NS and Thérèse Poley (late Vern) of Prince George, BC; by his five brothers, Paul (Blanche) of Riverview, Roger (Rolande) of Dieppe, Raoul (Ghislaine) of Grand-Barachois, Roméo (Pat) of Windsor, ON and Louis of Shediac; by his two grandsons, Matthew (Meaghan Steeves) of Halifax, NS and Alex of Moncton; he is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
Besides his parents, Léonce was predeceased by his five sisters, Andréa Breau, Germaine Frenette, Maria Gallant, Angela Corbett and Laure Gallant and by a brother, Camille.
Visitation will be held at Passage Funeral Chapel, 625 Mountain Road (corner West Lane), Moncton, NB on Friday, September 23rd, 2016 from 7:00pm to 9:00pm and on Saturday, September 24th, 2016 from 10:00 till the time of service. Funeral service will be celebrated at Passage Funeral Chapel, 625 Mountain Road (corner West Lane), Moncton, NB on Saturday, September 24th, 2016 at 11:00am
