Shediac, NB – Léopold LeBlanc, 72, passed away peacefully at the Dr. Georges-L.-Dumont University Hospital Centre, surrounded by his loving family, on Saturday, August 31st, 2013, after a long, courageous battle with cancer.
Born in Cap-Pelé, NB on July 23, 1941, he was the son of the late Léonide and Emerise LeBlanc.
Léopold was the owner of LP Cottage Raising and Foundation Company until his retirement. His passion was his boat, travelling and going to Pointe-du-Chêne wharf. He will be missed by his dog “Buffy”. Léopold was very well liked by everybody.
Léopold will be sadly missed by his very special friend, Jeannine Thébeau; his daughters, Cheryl LeBlanc (Mike DesRoches) of Shediac and Darlene (Danny DesRoches) of Rogersville; his grandchildren, Brandon, Ryan, Derek, Jesse and Parise; his sisters, Margie Olmstead of Trenton, ON, Léontine (Roger Boudreau) of Shediac and Gerene (Wayne Porter) of Freetown, PEI; his brothers, Victor (Dorothy) of Cambridge, ON, Camille (Lita) of Cap-Pelé and Ronald (Mona) of Sudbury, ON; also by several aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews.
Besides his parents, he was predeceased by his stepmother, Yvonne LeBlanc, a son, Wayne and two sisters, Carmel and infant sister, Diana.
Visitations will be at Passage in Shediac Bridge on Tuesday, September 3rd, 2013 from 2:00 – 4:00pm and from 6:00pm until time of the funeral service at the Passage Funeral Home Chapel in Shediac Bridge at 7:00pm.
