Lily Melanson, 89, of Dawson Settlement and formerly of Lakeburn, NB, passed away on Thursday, April 24th, 2014, at the Moncton Hospital.
Born in Memramcook, NB, she was the daughter of the late Adolphe and the late Lina (née: LeBlanc) Bourgeois.
Lily will be remembered as a loving mother, grandmother, great grandmother, great-great grandmother and a dear friend to all.
She is survived by her five children: Marguerite, Lorette, Jimmy, Anita and Denise; two step-children: Aurèle and Annette; one sister, Zita; one brother, Antoine; 16 grandchildren; 13 great grandchildren; 1 great-great grandchild; as well as several nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by her 1st husband, Ovila LeBlanc in 1969; her 2nd husband, Clorice Melanson, two children: baby Richard and Aline; one step-son, Roger; two sisters: Anita and Ozithe; three brothers: Laurie, Aurèle and Léo, as well as one granddaughter.
No visitation at the funeral home.
Funeral service will be celebrated from the Chartersville Funeral Home Chapel, 363 Amirault Street, Dieppe, NB (857-1901) on Sunday, April 27th, 2014 at 3 pm, with Pastor David Ross officiating.
A donation to a memorial of the donor’s choice would be appreciated by the family.

Née à Memramcook, N.-B., elle était fille de feu Adolphe et de feu Lina (née LeBlanc) Bourgeois.
On s’en souviendra de Lily comme une mère, une grand-mère, une arrière grand-mère et une arrière-arrière grand-mère très dévouée et comme une personne chaleureuse à tous qui l’ont connu.
Elle laisse dans le deuil cinq enfants: Marguerite, Lorette, Jimmy, Anita et Denise; deux beux-enfants : Aurèle et Annette; une sœur, Zita; un frère, Antoine; 16 petits-enfants; 13 arrière petits-enfants; un arrière-arrière petit-enfant, ainsi que plusieurs neveux et nièces.
Son 1er époux, Ovila LeBlanc en 1969; son 2iene époux, Clorice Melanson; deux enfants: bébé Richard et Aline; un beau-fils, Roger; deux sœurs: Anita et Ozithe; trois frères: Laurie, Aurèle et Léo, ainsi qu’une une petite-fille, l’ont précédée dans la tombe.
Aucune visite aura lieu au salon.
Les funérailles auront lieu en la chapelle de la Maison funéraire Chartersville, 363 rue Amirault, Dieppe, N.-B. (857-1901), le dimanche 27 avril 2014 à 15h.
Un don à une œuvre de bienfaisance de choix serait apprécié par la famille.
