Lina Landry, 79, of Manoir Notre Dame, Moncton, NB, passed away peacefully on Friday, January 19th, 2007, at the Dr. Georges-L. Dumont Hospital after a brief battle with cancer.
Born in La Pocatière, QC, she was the daughter of the late Edouard and the late Stella (née: LeBlanc) Landry.
She began her career with Canada Post in Moncton, moving to Burbank, CA, Toronto, ON and Montreal, QC, until her retirement from Continental-Sun Life Insurance.
Lina will always be remembered for being young at heart and for her interest in her many niece and nephews.
Lina will be sadly missed by two sisters: Aline (Dollard) Leger of Dieppe and Angela (David) Breau of Moncton; three brothers: Rhéal (Huguette) of Deux Montagnes, QC, Valerie of Dieppe and Léopold of Moncton as well as by several nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by four sisters: Marie-Paul, Andréa, Rachel and Marie-Blanche and also by one brother, Armand.
Visitation will be held from the Chartersville Funeral Home, 363 Amirault Street, Dieppe, 857-1901, on Friday, January 26th, 2007 from 7 to 9 pm.
Funeral service will be celebrated at the Chartersville Funeral Home Chapel, on Saturday, January 27th, 2007 at 10:30 am.
Interment in Notre-Dame du Calvaire Cemetery, Dieppe, NB.
In lieu of flowers, donations to the Dr. Georges- L. Dumont Hospital Foundation would be appreciated by the family.
