Grande-Digue, NB – It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved mother, Lorraine Bourgeois, who passed away at the Villa Providence on July 25, 2013, at the age of 79, after a lengthy battle with Alzheimer’s disease. She joins her beloved husband, Edmond, who passed on June 12, 2013.

Born in Cap-Pelé on January 28, 1934, she was the daughter of the late Maurice and Dévina (Cormier) Richard.

She was a school teacher and a federal public servant. She was very proud of her children: her 3 doctors and her cherished daughters. She adored her grand-children. She had a lot of hobbies such as travelling, music, dancing, playing cards and her crafts.

With her husband, they had five children, Anne-Marie (Edward Flannery) of Grande-Digue, Daniel (Anne Bernard), Suzanne (Paul Casey) and Yves (Andreea Dulipovici) all of Moncton, Denis (Élisabeth Moisan) of Quebec City. They were also blessed with ten wonderful grandchildren, Maribeth (Gabriel Maillet and their daughter, Caroline), Julie (Bobby Moffitt), Alexandre, Jérémie, Erik, Étienne, Juliette, Boris, Lucas, Rafael, a new granddaughter due in August and two step-grandchildren, Neil and Adèle. She also leaves to mourn her sisters, Aurore (Al Quarella) of Leominster, Massachussetts and Juliette (Francis Landry) of Memramcook-Est; along with her brothers Joseph (late Yvonne Goguen) and Euloge (Cécile Landry) of Cap-Pelé, Laurie (Anna Cormier) of Saint-Anselme and Léon (Colette Arseneau) of Moncton; also by several nephews, nieces, and cousins, along with her in-laws, the Bourgeois family.

Besides her parents, she was predeceased by her brothers, Valérie (Élise LeBlanc), Hervé (late Louisa Légère), and Adelard (Alice Cormier).

Visitations will be held at Passage in Shediac Bridge on Monday, July 29, 2013 from 2 to 4 pm and 7 to 9 pm. There will be no visitation on Tuesday morning. Funeral service will be at the La Visitation RC Church in Grande-Digue, on Tuesday, July 30, 2013 at 11 am.
