En Souvenir De
Louis G. LeBlanc
février 11, 2017

It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Louis G. LeBlanc at the age of 90, beloved husband of 53 years to Angeline Poirier, and cherished father of Charles (Caroline) and Claude (Caroline). Louis passed away peacefully in the early morning on Saturday February 11th at his home in Outremont.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Emile and Liliane and his brother Alphonse. He leaves behind many nephews and nieces, relatives and friends.

Louis was born in Grand-Barachois, NB and attended college St-Joseph in Memramcook. Louis later settled in Windsor, ON, close to his brother and parents where he married the love of his life Angeline in 1963. Prior to his retirement, Louis had a successful 30 year career including Head of Industrial Relations for Pillsbury Canada and Green Giant Foods in Toronto and Windsor. Louis and Angeline retired in Shediac and later moved to Montreal (Outremont) to be closer to family and friends.

Louis had a passion for automobiles and driving, loved to watch Jeopardy, and attentively followed the news, in particular he enjoyed discussing politics and current events. Louis had the ultimate sweet tooth and always had a little something sweet to offer guests, and to his roots adored seafood, especially the famous LeBlanc lobster suppers.

Louis’ favourite outing was a long Sunday drive with the love of his life, stopping for a seafood chowder or an ice cream cone. Louis will be greatly missed and will always be remembered for his sharp wit, kind-heartedness, generosity, patience and forever dedicated to caring for his wife, Angie.

Funeral service will be held at La Visitation RC Church in Grande-Digue, on Saturday, August 19, 2017 at 10 am. Burial will take place after the funeral in the parish cemetery. Reception will follow at Notre-Centre in Grande-Digue.

In memory of Louis’ dedication and support for Angie, the family requests memorial contributions be made to the Alzheimer Society of Canada or the Alzheimer’s Foundation of America.
